The first series was originally broadcast in 2010 on BBC Two, and to date there has been a total of six series, with a seventh due to be shown in early 2016. In the series, Portillo travels along the railway networks of Great Britain and Ireland, referring to a Victorian guidebook written by George Bradshaw, as he describes how the various destinations have changed since Victorian times. Each series consists of a number of individual journeys, in which each journey is divided into five separate legs, and broadcast each day from Monday to Friday at 6:30pm on BBC Two across a single week. In autumn of 2012, Portillo began presenting a new spin-off show on BBC Two, titled ''Great Continental Railway Journeys'', which used an identical format as that of ''Great British Railway Journeys'' — exploring points of interest and historical significance along a particular route - but featured journeys across Europe, with Portillo utilizing a later edition of a Bradshaw publication - the 1913 ''Continental Railway Guide'' - while each journey he made covered a single episode. ==Series overview== 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Great British Railway Journeys」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
